Wow! We've packed so much into our first year of existence. Back in January 2007, little did we think that we - the smallest (at the time) and newest club in the Welsh Photographic Federation would achieve so much.
We had great success in the Welsh Salon, coming third in the club print trophy, beating many larger and more established clubs. We also came third in the popular Barrian Cup, seventh in the respected Stanley Schell trophy and fifth in the challenging Gwynfa Pixels. If this wasn't enough, we came second in the competitive six way Rhondda Battle.
It's not all about winning, though. We've enjoyed club critique evenings, where we've shared and discussed our work; a panel evening, where we saw successful panels and panels "in progress"; and a number of interesting and entertaining speakers, both from within the club and from the WPF.
On a more practical note, we have had digital evenings, where knowledge, experience and ideas have been shared; still life evening, where we have practised our photography; and various days and evenings out at local photographic locations.
Some of us have used the images taken at these events to enter our regular open and themed competitions. Our work has been judged by a number of experienced and knowledgeable photographers - some of whom, we have even agreed with.
How do we fit it all in? Have a look at our programme on this website; we're sure you will find something you would like to come along to. Hope to see you soon.
