Despite the weather last Sunday, a few of us braved the elements at the Fortress Wales re-enactment in Margam Park writes Karen Davies. Darren Boxer, Susan Plant and I arrived around 10 am, later we were joined by Gareth and a very proud Alan Whatley was seen walking with his daughter and beautiful granddaughter. The re-enactment was well worth seeing, as there were World War II exhibits and Romans complete with their own encampment, as well as the Roundheads and Cavaliers, a Medieval Camp, market stalls and much more. It was amazing how the re-enactors took on the personalities of the people they were portraying, and engaged with us, whether we liked it or not! At one point Darren was approached by a Cavalier who explained that he could execute him in 171 ways using one rather peculiar looking dagger which he kept tucked in his boot.
