Rules and Conditions of Entry
- Entry is open to all photographers, amateur and professional. Worldwide.
- Each entrant may submit a maximum of four images per section in each of the following three sections:
- Open Colour
- Open Monochrome
- People
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SAME IMAGE CANNOT BE SUBMITED TO MORE THAN ONE SECTION.
Images will only be accepted in JPEG file format using the sRGB colour space. The maximum dimensions (including any borders) must be 1400 pixels wide (horizontal axis) and 1050 pixels high (vertical axis) at 72 ppi, saved as JPEG to produce a file of no more than 8'00kb. Images smaller than 1400 x 1050 pixels are acceptable, but will appear smaller when projected. Please check all image sizes before submission, as images larger than detailed above will be rejected. The projection background is black.
- By submitting an entry for this Salon, the entrant certifies the work as their own and permits the organisers to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication in a catalogue, on the internet, website and/or in other media related to the Salon.
- The organisers assume no liability for any misuse by anyone of copyright of published images.
- Entries must be made by the entrant and originate as photographs (image captures of objects via light sensitivity). Images may be acquired digitally or scanned from traditional film to create a digital file. Any modification of the original image must be made by the entrant.
- Images must be in digital format and wherever possible submitted through the Port Talbot Camera Club website at www.porttalbotcameraclub/salon-home.org or by following the Port Talbot International Salon links. Where suitable internet access is not available, entries will be accepted on a single CD. For images submitted on CD only: The image title should be the title as it will appear in the catalogue. File name format is as follows:
Section code_file name, e.g. A1_London at Sunset.jpg. Please remember to write you name on the CD and CD sleeve. CDs will not be returned, but will be destroyed following the exhibition.
- An entrants images (in each section) will be distributed throughout four rounds of judging.
- Images will be judged using a Canon SX6 digital projector set to sRGB.
- The organisers may reject any entry/image at their discretion.
- A representative selection of the accepted images (approx 30%) will be projected at public showings.
- Entry form must be completed in Western characters and English language only.
